Artist's Comments

I'm not in a state of mind to think of a description, so I got the lyrics to the song that makes the most sense right now. Hope you all enjoy :)

You almost always pick the best times,
To drop the worst lines.
You almost made me cry again this time.
Another false alarm,
Red flashing lights.
Well this time I'm not going to watch myself die.

I think I made it a game to play your games,
And let myself cry.
I buried myself alive on the inside,
So I could shut you out,
And let you go away for a long time.

I guess its ok I puked the day away.
I guess its better you trapped yourself in your own way.
And if you want me back,
You're gonna have to ask.

I think the chain broke away,
And I felt it the day that I had my own time
I took advantage of myself and felt fine,
But it was worth the night,
I caught and early flight and I made it home.

I guess its ok I puked the day away
I guess its better you trapped yourself in your own way
And if you want me back
You're gonna have to ask
Nicer than that,
Nicer than that

My foot on your neck
I finally have you,
Right where I want you,
Right where I want you,
Right where I want you,
Right where I want you

I guess its ok I puked the day away
I guess its better you trapped yourself in your own way
And if you want me back,
You're gonna have to ask

Nicer than that,(I guess its ok I puked the day away)
Nicer than that (I guess its better you trapped yourself in your own way)
And if you want me back,
You're gonna have to ask
Nicer than that

*Edit: A few people have asked already about the narrow DOF, I don't have a lens capable of such a DOF under 70mm, I'm new to self portraits and did't want to have to use a tripod (I really don't like them) and that means there's no way can I get such a shallow DOF while taking the photo cause I'm close to the wide angle length. In Photoshop, I made the blurry parts even more blurry basically, upped the contrast and then desaturated the tones a bit.

It's a style I developed when I was editing the shots from that day, I happen to love it and that's what matters to me. Imo, it's no different than ppl making colour alterations, adding 'glow', or adding texure to photos.

Oh, and while it makes it look cool, it also gets rid of the grain in the "bokeh" areas :p

As for the watermark, it's there for security reasons, I've seen way to many people finding fake accounts with their images all over the net. I'm not waiting to find any before I start watermarking. And there's no sense in watermarking if it's far from the photos main points. Like seeing many other people's artwork, look past the watermark. And don't blame us for putting it there, blame the rippers.

i don't leave detailed comments anymore, there was once a time when i would...
but life is so rushed and so yeah... WELL

i like the three lickle hairs coming down over your face,
and your necklace makes me think of choking :) restriction and stuff

the way your head is tilted makes me feel as though you're looking into the camera and asking so many questions,
but then again your expression is blank... but an angry kind of blank.

i wish there were more hours in the day :( i want to take photos... but i have college ;(

I love the narrow dof in this shot. I also like how you're partly out of frame. Great portrait. :glomp:

good dof, and really good angle. i like the fact tht some of your face is cut off while the most important when it comes to body language is showing (your eyes and lips), very well done.

nice photo, but the watermark is very distracting. was the shallow depth of field done in camera, or outside (filter/photoshop?)?

Nice photograph. You didn't have to blur the bottom half in Photoshop though. It looks like there's a lot of editing. Be more discreet? :)

I edited the description, take a look :)
